Dianne Solis, a reporter for the Dallas Morning News, formerly Mexico Wall Street Journal correspondent, visited The Corner Project in September 2003 to teach a story-writing workshop at the children's resource center and give classes in managing accounts with computer spreadsheet programs to the young adult computer study group.

Vicky Cowal, retired director of a Mexico City cooking school, food columnist and cookbook author, gave classes in techniques for making marmalades, preserves and pickled chile peppers to "Las Malinallis," a Corner Project women's group interested in exploring income-generating activities, in September and October of 2003.
